What is Balance & Why is It Necessary
Life balance includes the amount time/energy that we provide to various tasks in day to day life. To review your life balance think about of time that you spending doing tasks that are required for mental/physical health (cooking, bathing, socializing), working (paid or unpaid such as caregiving), leisure, and rest/sleep.
Balance allows for positive health, perceive positive quality of life and wellbeing.
Being imbalanced can cause stress or boredom, which can lead to negative health outcomes and dissatisfaction with life.
Having balance allows you to control your stress levels and improve your ability to cope during stressful situations.
Am I Balanced
Everyone's perception of life balance is different, but you can determine whether you feel balance through reflecting on how you spend your time each day. Think about the time you spend doing self-care tasks (cooking, shopping, eating, bathing, socializing), work tasks (paid or unpaid), leisure tasks, and rest/sleep.
